Ospreys at nest: scraperboard-type drawing - 58Kb

It had been many years since I had used the medium of scraperboard, but I was drawn to its textural possibilities. (see detail)
Stupidly, I transferred my sketch as if to a metal plate for engraving, hence its back-to-front appearance. (Notice, even my mark it back to front.)
I did not realise my error until the work was done. It amused me so much that I decided to frame it and offer it for auction at the RSPB Day Conference at which I was to speak. It raised over £100.
