Great excitement occurs in an Osprey's eyrie when the fisher (the male) is seen far off, approaching with a meal. The female calls "kee-kee-kee-kee", as if to chide his tardiness, and the chicks join in the chorus. Typically, he will land in a nearby tree to consume the fish's head, before delivering the bulk of the fish to his family. |
