Standing at the entrance to the beech wood, this work greets or bids farewell to the visitor. The elegantly tall figure is made with strong linear construction which adds to the Botticelliesque nature of the piece, reminiscent of La Primavera or the Birth of Venus, but here the goddess is in a woodland context. |
