Sketch portrait of wolf

The last wild British wolf was killed in Scotland, in 1743.
The Wolf Enclosure in the Highland Wildlife Park affords the visitor fine views of these animals.

These animals are great posers.
A student of animal behaviour can observe much from these animals' interactions and postures from the alpha pair to the omega male.

Notice this powerful-looking animal has its tail between its legs!

Wolf sketches

Any man who was ever in a Boy Scout wolf cub pack may recall the posture of the topmost sketch on the right showing the squat (Akela, we'll do our best)

I still look forward to drawing the wolves as they gather into pack howling display.
