Drawing of Spotted Hyaena: Ngorongoro Crater

Spotted Hyaena Sketches

Crocuta crocuta     Fisi

This Hyaena, drawn in the Ngorongoro 'Crater' in northern Tanzania, is a sensitive and contemplative creature.
Among the greatest of family animals, they have, frankly, had a 'bad press' as scavengers and plunderers of other hunters' booty.
Simply not so! These are brave hunters who are often deprived of the meal they have caught for themselves by bullying lions.
