Sketches of Gerenuk

Litocranius walleri

Standing on hind legs, Gerenuk can reach leaves that other antelope can't reach and enjoy the browsing below the level of the Giraffe.
Its long neck gives it its Kiswahili name Swala twiga: antelope/giraffe, sometimes rendered in English as Giraffe-necked Antelope.
