Staring, as if deep in thought, this Olive Baboon attracts our human sympathy whether he is contemplating Life, the Universe and Everything, "what's for lunch?" or 'that female'.

This baboon was drawn at dawn in the Serengeti NP in northern Tanzania - a classic subject, but I resist the temptation to draw an enormous sun behind him. the simplicity of the line has produced one of the 'cleanest' of my Drawings on Africa.
